Cloud promotions and rewards
A promotion code may grant AI credits, infrastructure units, promotional money, a plan trial, or a Team package. The reward goes to the appropriate balance or plan; it does not always enter the usage wallet. This page explains where to redeem a code and what happens next.
Where to redeem
Cloud cabinet → Rewards.
The page has two fields:
- Promotion code — the code you were given. Case does not matter:
beta-ten-2026andBETA-TEN-2026are the same code. - Region — your account’s region. A promotion may not run everywhere, so the region takes part in the check.
Press Redeem.
What happens after redeeming
A successful redemption names the reward you received. The Rewards page updates its redemption count and history. Depending on the code:
- AI credits or infrastructure units appear under Usage.
- Promotional money appears in the balance under Billing and can pay for an eligible subscription.
- A plan trial changes the selected Space’s plan for the stated period.
- A Team package gives your Personal Space a specific Team purchase option under Billing.
The redemption remains in the history so you can see when it was applied. Its balance or purchase option may expire separately.
Promotional money and Team packages
Promotional money can be used toward an eligible subscription; it is not an AI-credit or infrastructure-unit balance. Check Billing for the available amount and the payment choices for the subscription you want.
A Team package code is more specific: it grants one month of Team for 5 seats at the price fixed for that promotion. Redeem this code in your own Personal Space, not in an existing Team Space. If you are in the wrong Space, the cabinet offers a switch to your Personal Space without discarding the code you typed.
After redeeming, open Billing in your Personal Space and explicitly select “Promo code: Team for 5 seats and 1 month” from the Team package list. The quote shows its fixed price and the deadline for using the promotion. This purchase uses only the granted promotional package: no card payment and no automatic renewal. Renew the Team subscription manually for a later period if you want to keep it.
If a purchase paid with this package is fully refunded, the promotional package is restored with its original expiry date. A refund does not give it a new validity period; if that date has passed, the returned package cannot be spent again.
What AI credits pay for
AI credits pay for model calls made through a Mockarty-hosted profile on Shared Mockarty. Before a request reaches the model, Cloud reserves credits using that profile’s published input, output and cache-token rates. After the response, Cloud settles the actual token usage and returns any unused part of the reservation. If the balance or its spending limit is exhausted, the request stops before model I/O. The refusal distinguishes a low balance (top up AI credits) from a spending limit (raise it or wait for the next period).
A profile that your Space owns and configures with its own provider key (BYOK) does not spend Cloud AI credits. Neither does an on-premises or air-gapped Mockarty: the operator of that installation supplies the models and its local usage policy. This is why two calls with similar prompts can affect the wallet differently — the selected profile and who supplies it matter.
No prompt, model answer or provider credential is copied into the Cloud wallet. Billing receives only the Space namespace, the selected profile/provider/model identity, bounded token counts and idempotency evidence.
A code that grants a plan
Some promotion codes grant a paid plan instead of wallet units: the Space switches to that plan for the number of days the code carries, as a trial. Nothing is charged and nothing renews by itself; when the period ends the Space returns to Free unless you subscribe. Such a code is refused in a Space that already runs a paid plan — redeem it in a Space on Free.
Why a code may be refused
Every refusal names the condition that failed:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| “You have already redeemed this promotion.” | The code allows one redemption per account and it has been used. |
| “You have redeemed this promotion as many times as it allows.” | The promotion has a per-account limit and you have reached it. |
| “This promotion is not available in the region you selected.” | The promotion is limited to a list of regions and yours is not on it. |
| “This promotion is not available on your current plan.” | The promotion is meant for other plans. |
| “There is no promotion with this code. Check the code and try again.” | The code is mistyped, or no such promotion exists. |
| “This promotion is not currently active.” | An operator has paused the promotion. |
| “This promotion has not started yet.” / “This promotion has ended.” | You are outside the promotion’s window. |
| “Every redemption of this promotion has been used.” | The overall redemption limit is exhausted — the code is gone. |
| “This promotion requires an older account.” | The promotion has a minimum account age. |
| “You are not a member of the selected Space.” | The reward is credited to a Space you do not belong to. |
| “This Team promo code belongs in your own Personal Space.” | Switch to your Personal Space and redeem the same code there. |
If the message is about a region or a plan, check that you picked your own region and are in the right Space. The other refusals mean the promotion is not for you, and nothing on your side can change that.
Who issues promotion codes
Codes are issued by a platform operator. A code carries a validity window, a list of eligible plans and regions, an overall redemption limit and a per-account limit. All of these are checked at the moment you redeem, which is why a refusal always names one specific condition instead of a generic error.
