Buy a licence key for Mockarty Desktop

A licence key is a period licence for Mockarty Desktop that works on several machines without internet. You buy it in the cloud cabinet, paste the same key into every desktop, and confirm each machine from the cabinet with the code the desktop shows. The machines themselves never need to be online.

Who can buy

Open the cabinet, pick the Space that pays for the key and go to Licence keys in the navigation. Buying, revealing and confirming or releasing devices needs the owner, admin or billing manager role in that Space; every member can see the keys and device list the Space owns in read-only mode.

Before the first purchase the Space needs a verified e-mail on your account and the accepted Terms of Service, the same as for a subscription.

Buy a key

The Buy a key cards list the key products on sale for your Space with their price, term, number of devices and the offline lease. Press Buy on a card, confirm the step-up prompt, and complete the payment on the provider’s page. When you return, the key appears under Your keys first as Issuing and, within a minute, as Issued. The key is also sent to the Space owner’s e-mail.

If the payment was not completed you come back to the same page with a note that nothing was charged; the key can be bought again.

If the cabinet says that an offer is unavailable, refresh the key list: that product may no longer be on sale for your Space. If it says that the offer catalogue is temporarily unavailable, no checkout was started; contact support with the request ID shown in the error.

Use the key

1. Press Show key on the issued key, confirm the step-up prompt and copy the key.
2. On each machine open Mockarty Desktop → Desktop → License & Pro, paste the key and press Activate. The card shows Needs device confirmation.
3. Press Get a request code on the desktop and bring the MKA-… code to the cabinet: open Devices on the key, paste the code, press Confirm the machine. The cabinet answers with an MKC-… confirmation code.
4. Paste the confirmation into the desktop. The licence’s features switch on for the lease shown on the card.

Repeat steps 2–4 on every machine up to the key’s device limit. The Devices dialog shows which slots are taken and when each lease ends. Full details of the desktop side are in Activate Desktop without internet.

Free a device slot

When a machine is retired, press Release this machine on its desktop and bring the MKR-… code to the Devices dialog. The desktop loses the paid features immediately. The cabinet marks the device as released locally and shows the date until which its slot stays reserved. This is the end of the offline lease already issued to that machine; keeping the reservation prevents an old backup from using the same paid seat alongside a new machine. The same machine can return to its slot, while a different machine can use it after that date. Support can record a lost machine without a code under the key’s yearly allowance; the same reservation still applies.

Refunds

A refund of the key’s invoice is requested from Billing → Invoices like any other invoice. A full refund revokes the key: it cannot issue or renew confirmations and shows Revoked in the cabinet. A machine that is completely offline can keep the features from a confirmation it already holds only until that confirmation’s displayed lease end.

Every key carries one lifecycle word that the cabinet card, the CLI and a Mockarty node running on the key all agree on:
